Welcome!

Hello,

My name is David Whritenour and I would like to welcome you to Titan Flow Control’s Blog, “The Pipeline Flow”.  The Pipeline Flow was designed to provide a place where pipeline industry professionals can freely discuss and share topics relative to our industry.

You may be asking, “So, why did Titan start a blog?  With so many blogs out there, what is the point”?

Let me first start with saying, I would not have categorized myself as a blogger in the past.  To me, blogs were fine for entertainment purposes but they had nothing to offer an engineering professional.

Wow, nothing could be further from the truth!

Over the past year, I routinely find myself subscribing to a variety of blogs to help locate “hard-to-find” information, to connect with other professionals in my field, and to help solve difficult problems.  All in all, it has been a wonderful experience and I am now happy to call myself a blogger!

During my time blogging, I began to realize that there were many professionals in the same boat as me.  Unfortunately, there appears to be a steady decline of readily available knowledge specific to our industry.  Now don’t get me wrong, there are many talented people employed within our industry.  But I believe that the core knowledge is residing with fewer and fewer people.

So we decided to create this blog with following goal:

“This blog was created to make it easier to share information about our industry, products, and processes in hopes of expanding the knowledge base to other professionals.”

Yes, I know that was a long-winded answer but I am new to blogging.  I promise to be more concise in the future.

Anyway, please subscribe to this blog and stayed tuned.  We have some great contributors lined up, exiting articles, and maybe a few polls – I know how much everyone loves polls.

Sincerely,
David Whritenour
